Elementary Cheerleading Program

 

The various elementary cheerleader squads throughout the district were organized into a formal program by the OESDP in 2006, lending credibility, organization, and structure to the cheerleaders’ efforts. Most of the teams in the Elementary Basketball League have a talented, enthusiastic cheerleader squad that gives the rallying call at each basketball game, delighting spectators with their energy and team spirit. The cheerleaders are able to display their unique talents in a competitive forum at the annual Elementary Cheerleaders Program Competition. Competition is always stiff at this event in which teams and individuals compete for trophies and the opportunity to be honored at the Elementary Basketball League/Cheerleaders Competition Championship Banquet.
